I love making morning smoothie bowls. They are so beautiful and above all nutritious, packed with vitamins, minerals, good fats and protein.
Here is the recipe for the smoothie base.
Servings: 2
SMOOTHIE BASE:
-2 small or 1 medium banana
- frozen pineapple nibs
- spinach or kale
- handful of nuts (I like cashews and almonds, and I like to soak them the night before)
- 1tbs chia seeds
- 1tbs flax meal
- 1tbs hemp seeds
- 2tbs pea protein
- 1tbs coconut oil
- 1/2 avocado
- 1tsp spirulina powder
TOPPING:
- berries
- sliced banana
- any seeds or nuts of your choice
